Taco Street Locating ("we") runs the apartment search at ai.tacostreetlocating.com. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

What you tell us. Your search preferences (budget, neighborhoods, bedrooms, amenities), the messages you type into the AI search, apartments you save or compare, and — only if you choose to share them — your name, email address and phone number when you request tours or ask to be contacted.

Account information. If you create an account, we store your email and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile Google shares with us. We never see or store your Google password. When you request a tour without an account, we create one for you using the contact details you provide, so your request and saved apartments have a home you can come back to — it has no password until you choose to set one.

Usage information. Standard technical logs (IP address, browser type) and in-app events like searches and saves, which we use to keep the service working and make the search better.

How we use it

To find you an apartment. Your preferences and conversations power the search and let a human locator pick up right where the AI left off. If you share contact details, we use them to follow up on your search, confirm pricing and availability, and book tours. We do not sell your personal information.

When we book you a tour, we share with that apartment community what it needs to receive you: your name, contact details, and move-in basics like your timeline and the floorplan you're interested in. That happens only when you ask us to set up a tour or connect you with a property — never before, and never with properties you haven't asked about.

Who helps us run this

Like most modern services, we rely on a small set of processors to operate: cloud hosting and content delivery, a managed database, AI providers that process search conversations, and error-monitoring tools. They process data on our behalf to provide the service, not for their own marketing.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and browser storage to remember your session and saved apartments on your device. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.

How long we keep it

We keep your searches, saved apartments, and any contact details for as long as they're useful to your apartment search and for our own business records — apartment hunts often pause and restart, so we don't delete things on a timer. If you'd like your information removed sooner, email us (below) and we'll delete it.

Your choices

You can use the search without an account and without sharing any contact details. To access, correct or delete information we hold about you, email alex@tacostreetlocating.com and we'll take care of it.

Children

This service is for adults searching for housing and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date at the top. Meaningful changes won't apply to information we already hold without telling you first.
